Welcome to W.I.L.D.

A group set up to provide information, support and a voice to sufferers with all forms of interstitial lung disease (ILD) or pulmonary fibrosis and their carers who live in the Wessex region.

Most of our patients are cared for at Southampton University Hospital, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals, Royal Hampshire Hospitals (Winchester and Basingstoke), Dorset County, Salisbury District and Lymington New Forest Hospitals but we welcome anyone looking for support and advice on coping with these illnesses.

COVID-19 ADVICE FOR ILD PATIENTS AND CARERS

All patients with any form of pulmonary fibrosis and all people taking immunosuppressant medications for chronic lung disease have been classified as being at greater risk from Covid-19 and asked by the government to adopt shielding at home. For more information please click the link below:
